Embroidered Art Workshop

Stitch & Smile! Ready to try something relaxing, creative, and just plain fun? Join our Embroidery Art class — no experience needed.

In this hands-on class, you'll learn the basics of embroidery and 3 simple stitches (running, back and French knot). By the end of the class, you’ll create your very own stitched masterpiece on paper to show off — or give as a heartfelt handmade gift.

Come stitch with us — it’s easier than you think, and way more fun than you expect.

We’ll create a unique multimedia piece that pops to life with color and dimension. Choose from pre-printed designs on paper or photos. That's RIGHT, on paper, it's easier to learn by stitching on paper, doesn't require stretching and easy to frame. Designs/photos used in class: we have a selection to choose from OR you are free to bring your own 5" x 7” on heavy card-stock. It’s best to use a duplicate or copy for practice in this class !! Please do not bring an original one-of-a-kind photo !!

This is a great workshop for both beginner and experienced embroiderers alike. We’ll begin with learning 3 basic embroidery stitches and use those to enhance your photo or design in a visually compelling way. This method is a great way to bring new life to old photos or add pizazz to new ones.

• Age Restrictions: This workshop is intended for adults; youth 14 and up are also welcome with an adult with prior approval from instructor (students must be able to use needles and scissors)
  

Who is this course for? Anyone who wants to learn a new artform. This project makes a great gift. Beginners welcome. All supplies, materials and tools are provided.
